''Achlys triphylla'', common name Deer-foot or vanilla-leaf, is a plant species native to the mountains of the West Coast of North America. It has been reported from the Cascades and from the Coast Ranges in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and northern California, at elevations of up to 1500 m (5000 feet).〔(Flora of North America vol 3 )〕 ''Achlys triphylla'' is an herb up to 40 cm (16 inches) tall.
